IWM Announcement

Iron Wind Metals would like to extend a warm welcome to BV Traders Mike and Chuck, who will be officially taking over running our convention booths starting with this year’s Origins in June. Mike and Chuck are seasoned convention vets, and have worked our Gencon booth with Jim Fox for the several years in addition to their own con booths at many eastern shows.

We also want to say farewell and good luck to Mr. Fox, who has started a new career and will be stepping down from working conventions. Jim has represented IWM on the con trails for years, and will be missed - although we still expect to see him at cons, only having fun not just working.

We are also very glad to say that Mark, Beth, and the rest of the regular crew plan to continue to do Origins and Gencon as well, as often as they are able.

So, aloha to Jim and welcome aboard to Mike and Chuck. We’ll see you at the conventions…

Help Paint the Goblin Horde

We began this project at CincyCon 2017, unsure if anyone would want to partake in the "Goblin Horde" project.

Much to our suprise, it was a tremendous success, and 2/3 of the people who took part in the paint and take choose to paint a Goblin for use in future Demo Games.  Over the three days, 92 Goblins were painted.

This provided 1.5 units of Archers, 2 units of Swordsmen, and 4 units of Goblins with Heavy Weapons.

Several friends of Ral Partha, including some former employees and associates of the company stopped by to paint a Goblin.   The majority of the painters had never painted a minaiture before.  Several were under the age of 12.  We are happy to add add their work to the Goblin Horde.

Over the next few weeks, we will getting the basing done on these, to match the rest of the Demo Armies, and then photos of the painted minis will be posted here.  As the Goblins are used in Demo Games across the country, we will following their successes on the website.

We will be continuing this project at various conventions in the future.
