The color choices here are pretty straightforward - red bits of clothes, dirty/muted armor and leather. I normally don't use washes when I'm painting Foundry style. For Orcs and Goblins, however, I mix black/brown wash and "dirty" the armor and leather. The armor, I'll put a slight highlight after, but for the leather, I leave it muted.

And yes, Moonglum, ALL the eyes are painted! :P

Very nice, really like the ones in the cowls/capes/hoods!

Very cool! This color scheme is always my preference for orcs and gobbos.

Thanks! I've finished them since I posted this, pics coming soon. I'm starting on the lesser goblins, almost feels like 15mm painting!

I used to run the typical green orcs, but after starting my campaign in 2009, I wanted something different in both how they acted and looked. The PotA from 69/70 fit perfectly.

I really do finish things, I promise! I have a few WIP that I need to put finished photos out there for... it's having the time to set up the photo booth, take the pictures, make sure they look nice and then post them. I've got painting to do!

Here's the full Goblin Archer unit, ready for basing terrain and then their Kodak moment...

Not that it matters for chaos wars, but out of curiosity what size bases are these on? Seem a bit big, but maybe that's just me

I standardize on 1 inch squares. I can use these in regular D&D games (1 in = 10'), Book of War (1 in = 20'), or put them on bases for DBA/OHW/AWM-fantasy games. I worry less about number of figures per base when doing 25mm games, more about frontage. My 15s are to DBA/HOTT base width standards.

I'm going to drop the lesser goblins on 3/4 in bases, because they are a smaller size individually, their unit size would be smaller. Just like with larger figures having larger bases.
